I’ve just recorded 6 more chapters of book three and am up to chapter 30 now, way over halfway through the book. I’m up at 6am nowadays, trying to get as much recording as I can done, before other people need me for their things. Progress is fast and enjoyable. Book 3 is better than I remember thinking it was, when I was writing it.
Next, I will do my last edit of all three books, headset on, listening as well as reading.
After that, I’ll record the Audible versions, probably of all three. I’ve ordered a sound hood to help with that. Someone here has a professional microphone and the right software that will enable me to erase and rewind as I go, to iron out all of the fluffs there are on the draft version as I talk.
Then I’ve got the legal stuff to go through. The contracts, disclaimers, ISBN business.
Then I need to plan my marketing campaign. This will be entirely on social media, at least to start with, but will require proper scheduling, including carved out and ringfenced slots in my Google calendar. I’m allowing three months of marketing for each book, and three months between releases.
Then, if the sales reach a certain level, I’ll write book 4. If they’re not, I change tack and do something different.
I’m open to both eventualities.
