When final doesn’t mean final.

I’ve just finished my so-called final edit of History Maps book 1: User Interface.

Phew!

And yet.

Yes. I now have a 93 point tagging list to tick off. Things to check. Terms to search for and change. Choices of names, to ponder. Things to make consistent, throughout.

The end is in sight, though.

And then.

I *think* I want to release the Audible version on the same day as the text version of the book. I’m not 100% sure about this though, I might not.

On the one hand, a separate Audible release date gives me a fresh marketing focus after text sales start dying.

But on the other hand, I don’t know if I’m psychologically capable of recording myself reading a book, without spotting further edits to make! No, I do know if I’m capable of it and I’m not.

Aha! The answer comes. I need to record it, save it, then release it later. Maybe.

This goes against the grain a bit, because why would I not happily share the thing I just did, straight away after I’ve done it? It seems manipulative, not to.

Hmmm. Still undecided, on that.
